Bernardo (Henry Silva), a local badman and suitor to Marguerita, convinces the townspeople to lynch the newcomer, but at the last moment, Abel is saved by a shot from an unseen sharpshooter. A showdown for Abel’s affections soon ensues between Marguerita and Rosie, with the defeated Rosie finding solace in the arms of Red Dick (Courtney Gains), the saloon’s piano player, who is surprised to find an odd tattoo on Rosie’s derriere. The next morning he is found dead and stuffed into his piano. Marguerita accuses Rosie of foul play, and the two feisty women tangle in a mighty brawl. Hard Case arrives in town, intent to revenge himself with Rosie, but Abel again intervenes in a shootout which saves her life. Marguerita, meanwhile, feels a prickle of passion for Hard Case. In her bedroom, the outlaw notices a strange tattoo on her bottom. Matching it side by side with Rosie’s, he puts together a map to the buried treasure. Abel soon makes the unique discovery himself and both men, Marguerita, Rosie and others, race to the site of the buried gold. When the gold is dug up, a tenacious battle ensues, with everyone getting the drop on everyone else. One by one, they each fall, their greedy, grimy hands still trying to clutch at the treasure. Surviving the shootout is Abel, his mysterious saviour, and Rosie, left behind to fend for herself in the brawling, sprawling excitement of the Old West. |
