Following in the long tradition of National Lampoon spoofs, Jeff Kanew (Revenge of the Nerds) directs a sword and sandal feature taking aim at the Gladiator, Spartacus, Troy and Braveheart epics to name but a few. In 398 BC, the baby Awesomest Maximus is dropped off a cliff and is replaced by another child of a fat peasant woman. Now grown into a not-so-fi t bumbling fool; Awesomest (Will Sasso) is asked by King Looney (Rip Torn) to lead an army of 300 against the million strong mighty army of King Erotic, lead by his general Testiclees.
