A struggling writer, Jeff, has a passionate, but turbulent romance with a mysterious young woman, Kelly, who he believes is emotionally disturbed. They drift apart but are reunited when the woman discovers she is pregnant with his baby. Jeffs father begins a war to save his son from this troubled soul but the family begins to be torn apart by this beautiful young woman and her unpredictable and increasingly violent behaviour.
