| Imagine a world where dreams come true . . . and magic is real! Combining the enchantment of Arthurian mythology and breathtaking Welsh landscapes, Merlin is an epic adaptation of the age-old legend. A majestic mini-series exploring the tale of one of the most recognised wizards in history. Living in a world converting to Christianity – a man born of pagan magic, King Arthur’s wizard Merlin (Sam Neill, Jurassic Park) uses his cunning wizardry to battle Mab the Queen of Darkness (Miranda Richardson, Sleepy Hollow) and the evil, bewitching Morgan Le Fey (Helena Bonham Carter, The King’s Speech) in his life-long quest for the love of his fair lady Nimue (Isabella Rossellini, Wild at Heart). With formidable opposition from treacherous King Vortigern (Rutger Hauer, Blade Runner) and Mab’s tricky gnome Frik (Martin Short, Father of the Bride) Merlin is tasked with using every spell in his book in the challenge to create Camelot. Also featuring Sir John Gielgud, James Earl Jones, Lena Headey and directed by Steve Barron (Treasure Island), Merlin magically captures the spirit, romance and adventure of Arthurian times. |
