Alceo, a university professor who teaches History of Terrorism, has become obsessed with Islam after the loss of both his legs in an attack on the American Embassy in Nairobi. While on vacation in Turkey his wife Leda falls under the spell of a cultured and refined westerner, a stone merchant who trades precious gems between Europe and the Middle East. While on the surface the Merchant is charming and charismatic, underneath lies a dark secret, and along with his business partner he is plotting a terrorist attack that will bring the west to it’s knees.
