Based on true events, Tell Them Willie Boy is Here tells the story of one of the Wild West’s last great manhunts. An Indian, Willie (Robert Blake), kills a man by accident. Without waiting for the trial, a group of cowboys and citizens decide to lynch him. Willie is pursued into the deepest canyons of the desert. Screen legend Robert Redford (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting) plays Coop, the deputy sheriff who is assigned to track him down. Tell Them Willie Boy is Here is a deeply personal and radical vision of the past by director Abraham Polonsky, who was blacklisted for 20 years.
